Sheila "Ceil" Obre, of Tinton Falls, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at home, with her family after a year long battle with cancer. She was born to the late Mildred Burr and Paul McCroskey in Plainfield, NJ in 1939. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1957. For more than 30 years until she died, she was a partner in Shrewsbury Gymnastic school where thousands of children learned gymnastics and where she said, "I laugh every day". She will be remembered by her love of mysteries, gardening, listening to NPR and especially her grandsons.
She is survived by her daughters, Taylor Obre of Los Angeles, Gabrielle Obre of Asbury Park, and Brett Obre of Red Bank. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Julian and David and her brother, Phillip Burr of Weatherford, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, with a Celebration of Life service at 8:30 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Lunch Break, PO Box 2215, Red Bank. _________________ Cal |
