RODERICK S. "ROD" CULKIN
AGE: 71 KEANSBURG
Roderick S. "Rod" Culkin, 71, of Keansburg, passed away Monday, Nov. 10, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born June 25, 1937, in Weehawken. Rod had been a resident of Keansburg since 1958. He retired in 1999 as a boat builder and worked for Henry J. Luhrs Co. and Silverton Marine.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Angelina Virgilia Culkin; and his brother, Chuck Culkin. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Seitz Culkin; his son, Roderick S. Culkin Jr.; his daughters, Roxanne Lynn English and her husband Michael of West Keansburg, and Suzanne Marie Schmidt of Lewisburg, W.Va.; and his grandchildren, Christine and William English, Joshua, Karlie and Hannah Schmidt.
Friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday until the services at 10 a.m. at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 Highway 35, Hazlet. Cremation will follow and is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
