WILLIAM T. MacPHEE, 70, of MIDDLETOWN

WILLIAM T. MacPHEE, 70, of MIDDLETOWN, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Kolab Care and Rehab Center, St. George, Utah. He was born July 26, 1937 in Long Branch to Wm. J. and Josephine MacPhee. He married Joyce Marie Hyers. They were married Nov. 22, 1958 in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and went to work for Hendrickson Construction Company. He was a member of the Red Bank Carpenters Local before going into his own construction business for 40 years. He belonged to the Raritan Road Runners Motorcycle Club, soloed in a Tripacer airplane and got his private pilot's license. He built and experimental RV-6 aircraft in two years and soloed.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Donald C., of Atlantic Higlands, and Scott W., William K., and Jennifer M. Clunk, all of Cape Coral, Fla.; his sister, Joan Klein of Leonardo, Middletown; his brother, John A. MacPhee of Clarksburg; eight grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was well loved, admired and respected. We will miss him.
