THOMAS J. DONOVAN SR., 64, of Belford, MIDDLETOWN

THOMAS J. DONOVAN SR., 64, of Belford, MIDDLETOWN, died Monday, Sept. 6, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Donovan was a supervisor for the Middletown Township Public Works Department, where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 1999. Mr. Donovan was a life member of Belford Engine Company 1. He lived most of his life in Belford.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Donovan Sr. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. Jr. and Sharon Donovan of Middletown, and Patrick and Colleen Donovan of Keansburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Chantal L. and Ronald Harvey of Middletown, Geni M. and Joseph Rogers of Atlantic Highlands, and Perri R. Donovan of Leonardo; his mother, Myrtle Donovan of Holmdel; sisters, Patricia Donovan of Florida, Theresa Kenny of Belford, and Diane Bell of South Carolina; a brother, Donald Donovan of Port Monmouth; and 11 grandchildren, Thomas Donovan III, Faith Ann Donovan, Tara Nicole Donovan, Robert Harvey, Joshua Harvey, Cody Harvey, Zachary Harvey, Marie Howlett, Carol Ann Donovan, Claire Donovan, and Patrick Donovan Jr.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Letters of condolence may be e-mailed to Pflegerfh@aol.com.
